Care at Braintree

What each kind of care means here

Nursing Care

Braintree Nursing Home provides nursing care around the clock. Registered nurses lead the treatment of disease, disorder or injury, supported by a staff team who deliver a high standard of person-centred care to a small group of residents — so support flexes to each person rather than the other way round.

Specialist Dementia Care

Dementia care at Braintree is specialist, not incidental: a secure, nurturing environment where residents are supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff supporting them in the least restrictive way possible. Support extends to mental health conditions alongside dementia.

Physical Disabilities & Sensory Support

People living with physical disabilities or sensory impairment are provided with the care, support and equipment they need to stay independent. Residents are encouraged to make daily decisions about their own care and to maintain independence as much as possible.

Activities & Community Life

The home employs an activity coordinator and hosts regular social events — parties, barbeques and garden parties — open to relatives, friends and the local community. Varied activity programmes encourage social connection and mental stimulation, alongside dedicated one-to-one time for reading and conversation.

Fresh air & nature

Gardens that back onto the park

Beautifully landscaped gardens, peaceful courtyards, comfortable outdoor seating, wooden porch entrance, mature trees, colourful seasonal plantings, accessible pathways.

The home sits off Coggeshall Road by a private driveway, backing onto a small local park — garden parties and barbeques here are open to relatives, friends and the local community.
